MIOmotion began as a kitchen-table collaboration between Mark McDermott and his daughters, Isabelle and Olivia, exploring performance, storytelling, and filmmaking together. What started as a way to nurture creativity at home soon became something more: a shared belief that sound could unlock a different kind of storytelling, bold, expansive, and full of heart.

With roots in family and imagination, MIOmotion has grown into a creative studio driven by professional craft and purpose. Alongside Mark as CEO and Creative Director, the team now includes an experienced Sound Director and Performance Director, bringing cinematic quality and emotional depth to every production.

At the core of MIOmotion is a belief in clarity, inclusivity, and emotional truth. We tell stories that feel big but stay personal, rich in sound, yet easy to follow. And as we grow, we’re committed to using our platform for social good.

Our Sonic Cinema initiative brings audio storytelling into shared spaces with inclusive listening experiences, creating new ways to connect, especially for audiences historically excluded from traditional formats.
